The item bolts up perfect and works, but there are a few oddities. If you are looking for the absolute cheapest replacement that will work, this is it. But it is not to OEM spec. The ports, where the manifold meets the head, were lopsided oval and significantly smaller than the exhaust ports on the head. This could create significant back pressure right at near the exhaust valve area. A few minutes with a die grinder opened up the port to eliminate any back pressure from edges hanging out. On the collector side the hole are significantly smaller than the stock manifold, over a 1/4" smaller. I feel the smaller port diameter is sure to cause some performance loss. Just seems to be a sloppy cast with the ports shaped incorrectly. Also the heat guard that comes with the manifold did not have a hole in it for the oil dip stick. Another few minutes with a dremel and that was taken care of.I am under no false impression that my civic is a power house, but for a car with only a 100 hp, I don't want to loose any power. For double the price I could have gotten a good aftermarket header, and I did consider sending it back. The need to have the car running kept me from returning it, and to go ahead and use it. I will probably buy a new header later to replace this one later on.The car has been running with it for over a month with no ill effects, but I did modify it to make sure the ports aligned correctly.Overall, its not a bad product, but it is not a great product. Have to weigh the priories of your repair. You do get what you pay for.
